Sayalero Makes Something Out Of Nothing

After standing in the gates and missing the start by a considerable amount the race looked all over for Sayalero at Echuca on October 19th 2026. In a Maiden over 1200 metres, from Barrier 1 with Damien Thornton aboard the daugther of King's Legacy stood in the gates when they opened. Tacking on the to field in the back straight and then over racing for a period, it looked like a wasted trip to Echuca. On turning Damien angled out to the middle of the track and with a blistering turn of foot the filly mowed the field down to score an impressive half length margin victory.
